The crash involving a car and a bike happened on the Mahon Road on Thursday.

A woman motorist was treated at the scene for shock.

Alliance Councillor Conrad Dixon said: "I want to pass on my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the man who died today.

"It is devastating to hear about another death on our roads. This is a terrible tragedy and one that highlights the dangers of our roads and the importance of road safety.

"I would urge all those on the roads to be wary of other road users."

Mahon Road was closed between its junctions with Armagh Road and Artabrackagh Road, but has since re-opened.
