The PSNI have issued an appeal for information on the whereabouts of Kirsty Salmon.

The young girl, who has been living in the Mullingar area of Co Westmeath, may have travelled to NI as she is known to frequent Downpatrick, Belfast and Lisburn, a police statement said.

Kirsty is described as around 5ft 4in tall, of slim build, with dark hair and pale skin.

When last seen on Thursday afternoon she was wearing black leggings, a white tank top and a black zip-up top.

Police in Downpatrick are appealing for Kirsty, or anyone who knows of her whereabouts, to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.
