The fire broke out at the rear of the St Patrick's GFC building in the kitchen area shortly before 11.16pm Tuesday.

The roof partially collapsed but crews prevented the fire from spreading to the main hall, which suffered slight damage.

Fire engines and officers from nearby attended the scene and brought the situation under control by 3.10am on Wednesday.

The cause of the fire has not been determined and an investigation is ongoing.
