Thousands of pounds of clothing has been stolen after a car rammed the front of a shop in Lisburn.

The robbery took place at The Style Gallery on Market Place in the early hours of Wednesday.

A silver or grey coloured car crashed into the front of the family-owned menswear store at 5.15am - a quantity of clothing was then stolen and placed into the vehicle.

Police said two men are believed to have been involved.

Store manager Nikki told UTV it is the third time her premises has been targeted in the past year and added that staff are devastated.

She continued: "It's very upsetting, very distressing for all of us to be honest and we just feel as a small business it's been very difficult and these people just take advantage.

"We'll bounce back, we won't let them get us down."

A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to contact CID at Lisburn Police Station on the number 101."
