Two children were said to be left badly shaken after a shot was fired at their house in County Londonderry.

The attack happened around 11pm in the Drumlane Road area of Maghera on Wednesday.

Police said they are investigating a report of a shot fired through the kitchen window of a house.

An adult male, two adult females and two children were in the house at the time.

Police said no injuries were reported but those involved were left shaken by the incident.

A PSNI spokesman said: "A motive has not yet been established and police are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or who saw anyone in the area of Drumlane Road to contact detectives."
