Child knocked down in Dundonald

A child, believed to be 18 months old, has been knocked down in Dundonald.

The crash involving one car happened on the Comber Road just after 4pm on Saturday.

It is understood the child has been seriously injured.

Emergency crews are still at the scene.

Diversions are in place at the junctions of the Comber Road and East Link Road, and the Comber Road and Gramsbridge Road.

There are no further details at this time.

My heart goes out to the little boys whole family circle. this was a terrible accident,the young owner of the car must be feeling like his world has ended as well as the family of the little boy,my prayers go out to you all. no one knows why terrible things like this happen to us,we can only hope that one day we will get our answer, GOD BLESS

obviously our thoughts and prayers are for the family of the little boy but also have a thought of the owner of the car he probably left the hand brake on , in our busy lives probably most drivers have done the same he must be a total wreck for his momentary absences of mind think he needs our prayers too
