James Doyle, 60, from Gardiner Street, Dublin faces 35 counts of alleged offences against two different girls.

The charges against him relate to periods between 1976 and 1980.

During a preliminary enquiry at Belfast Magistrates Court prosecutors successfully applied to have him sent for trial.

Doyle will now go before the city's Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
