The device was reported at around 12.40am on Friday at the Ballygore Road.

Four adults and four children were in the caravan at the time.

The road was closed for a period while army bomb disposal experts investigated the object.

A controlled explosion was carried out on the object, however, it was subsequently declared a hoax.

The alert ended just after 4.20am and the caravan's occupants were allowed to return to their home.
