The owner was forced out of the vehicle at gunpoint in the Kennedy Way area on Saturday.

Earlier, at around 1.30pm, two men called at his house in Finaghy Road South to look at the silver coloured BMW 316 Compact he was advertising.

They returned at 7.30pm and went for a test drive.

A short time later they stopped the car, claiming it was overheating, before one of them pulled out a gun and the other a knife.

The owner was threatened before the hijackers drove off.

Police said they are described as being in their 20s, well built and around 5'7" to 5'8" tall with short dark hair. It is reported that both men may also have had tattoos.

Anyone with information has been asked to come forward.
