Fire crews attended the scene in the Knockalla Park area just before 2.30am.

The blue Peugeot car was destroyed in the fire, which police said is believed to have been started maliciously.

A police spokesman said: "A motive has not yet been established.

"Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on the 101 non-emergency number.

"Alternatively, information can be given to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111."
