'Cannabis plants' seized near Ballycastle

A 35-year-old man has been arrested after a number of suspected cannabis plants were found at a house near Ballycastle, Co Antrim on Tuesday.

Police searched a property at Ballyvennaght Road, Ballyvoy at about midday and seized a number of plants, estimated to be worth thousands of pounds.

The man has been detained on suspicion of possession of class B drug, intent to supply and being concerned in the cultivation of drugs.

He is currently in custody helping police with their enquiries.

There are no further details.
