On Friday, 37-year-old Niall and Stephen Smith (29) of Mourneview, Mowhan, Co Armagh and their elder brother 40-year-old Martin Smith, with an address at Kevlin Glen, Omagh appeared in Newry Crown Court on Friday charged with the double murder.

They also deny arson with intent to endanger life at a house near Keady in November 2006.

Thomas O'Hare, 33, and 21-year-old Lisa McClatchey were beaten by a gang of men armed with hammers at their Foley Road home, near Keady in November 2006 before being doused in petrol and set alight.

Lawyers for the prosecution and defence agreed further expert reports were required and the trio were remanded back into custody by Mr Justice Weir until their trial, set to be heard in November.
