Police confirmed a report shortly before 9am on Saturday that the front door of the Friends Meeting House on the Derrymore Road was damaged.

A PSNI spokesperson said access was gained but nothing was taken.

Commenting after visiting the scene, he said: "This deliberate act of vandalism on the Friends Meeting House here in Derramore Woods is not only an attack on the Quakers and those who fellowship here at the Friends Meeting House but on the entire community."

Police have asked anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact them at Ardmore Police Station on the new non-emergency number 101.
