Boy 'serious' after Co Antrim crash

A six-year-old boy struck by a car in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim is in a serious condition in hospital, police have confirmed.

The child was hit by a vehicle on Carnmoney Road on Tuesday afternoon.
He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment to his injuries.
Carnmoney Road was closed for a time, but has since reopened.
Meanwhile, a 12-year-old girl has been knocked down on Derry's Foyle Road.
Police said that the young girl received non-life threatening injuries in the one vehicle crash which also occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
