Boy, 11, hurt in Ards hit and run

A boy has escaped serious injury after he was hit by a car in Newtownards.

The 11-year-old was struck by a silver Astra at the roundabout on the Donaghadee Road, at around 3.40pm on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the driver did not stop and made off from the scene following the collision.
A statement continued: "The boy was thankfully not seriously injured. Police at Ards would ask anyone who has information in relation to the driver of this car to get in touch."
