The Boeing 737 had nearly 150 passengers on board when it was forced to re-route to Cork Airport on Tuesday night.
The plane, operated by Air Contractors Limited, landed safely just before midnight.
There were no reports of injuries while the passengers and crew stayed in the southern city overnight before continuing on their journey.
The pilot of the holiday flight declared the emergency landing because of a suspected fuel leak, an airport spokesman said.
"We activated our emergency plan but the plane landed safely," the spokesman said.
"The plane was grounded subject to inspection but it's not thought there was a leak."
