Belfast man 'safe' after three weeks

A vulnerable Belfast man who had not been seen by his family and friends in over three weeks has turned up safe and well.

Brendan McDermott, 45, had been missing since 1 December.

He was believed to have been in the area of his home at about 6am on Sunday.

Police confirmed the news that he had been found on Monday afternoon, having previously expressed concern for his welfare.
