Bangor homes evacuated over hoax device

Homes were evacuated in Bangor, Co Down overnight after the discovery of suspect device.

The object, which was found in the Innishargie Gardens area, was reported to police at around midnight.
Army bomb experts attended the scene.
Residents were out of their homes for several hours before the device was declared a hoax.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
