Police have said a security alert, which forced residents from their homes in Banbridge on Sunday, was "nothing untoward".

Homes were evacuated for a number of hours in the Edenderry Park area of the town while army bomb disposal experts carried out examinations.

The alert has ended and all roads have reopened.

Residents have also been allowed to return to their homes.
