It was reported shortly after 3am on Sunday that two windows in the front door of the house in the Greenland Parade area were smashed, two upstairs windows were also smashed and paint was thrown at the property.

A man and two women were in the house at the time but were not harmed.

Condemning the attack, East Antrim MLA Stewart Dickson said it was the second time the house has been targeted in a week.

"Violence is not welcome on our streets and those behind these incidents must know it is not what the community wants," he commented.

"My thoughts are with the residents of the property, whose lives have been disrupted and put in danger unnecessarily."

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with information to contact them at Larne station or anonymously through Crimestoppers.
