At around 10pm on Wednesday, police and the fire service were called to a fire at the Quinn Glass factory in the Ballyconnell Road area of Derrylin.

Police said a generator was set on fire on the property.

It's thought those responsible may have gained entry through the rear of the premises and police said no one was injured in the incident.

Since the collapse and subsequent takeover of the Quinn Group, there have been a series of attacks on various sites which have been condemned by Sean Quinn.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
