Charges over race hate attack

Two men, 20 and 21, have been charged after a car was attacked in north Belfast.

Police are treating the incident as a race hate crime.

The car, which was parked at a house on Cliftonville Road, was damaged in the early hours of Friday.

A police spokesperson said: "Descriptions of the men were noted and police arrested the two suspects a short time later."

The pair have been charged with criminal damage and are due to appear before court on Thursday, 19 June.
