Arrests over post office break-in

Three men, aged 21, 26 and 40, have been arrested following a burglary at a post office in Dromara, Co Down.

The alarm at the Rathfriland Road premises sounded at around 1.25am on Thursday.
Entry had been gained to the post office by breaking a rear window. A failed attempt was also made to enter an adjoining shop.
It is not believed anything was taken.
The arrested males were detained after police stopped two vehicles on the Drumkeeragh Road in Ballynahinch at around 2.30am.
They remain in custody at this time assisting police with their enquiries.
