Arrests over Derry class A drugs

Police have arrested three men on suspicion of class A and B drugs offences.

The trio - aged 17, 39 and 41 - were detained in Londonderry following an operation by local police and officers from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch on Friday night.

A quantity of class A and B drugs were recovered.

Area Commander, Chief Inspector Andy Lemon said: "This substantial seizure further reinforces our determination to remove controlled drugs from the city of Derry.

"The potential harm to the public caused by drugs is an issue that the PSNI take seriously.

"We will continue to work in conjunction with our colleagues from Organised Crime Branch and partner agencies to ensure we bring to justice those involved in dealing in drugs at all levels."

The men are in currently in police custody on suspicion of possession of class A and class B drugs.

Its good to see the psni stopping these drugs on our streets wither in be belfast or derry ,we need a police force in our country of ireland stopping these scum selling drugs to our kids , so well done the police credit is due .
