Arrest over paramilitary funeral shots

Police in the Republic of Ireland have arrested a man in connection with shots fired at a paramilitary funeral in Dublin.

The man, who is in his 40s, was detained as part of investigations into gunfire at Grange Abbey Drive in Donaghmede on 8 September, following the murder of Alan Ryan.
Officers are also investigating the activities of dissident republicans as part of what has been dubbed 'Operation Ambience'.
The man is currently detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at Lucan Garda Station.
Real IRA leader Mr Ryan was shot dead on 3 September.
