The incident happened on Tuesday at around 12.25pm in the Graymount Drive area.

A man called at the house requesting to check cables in the rear garden.

The homeowners brought him to the area and when they went back into their house, they noticed a second man leaving the property by the front door.

At this point, the man in the garden also made off.

The couple then discovered that a number of rooms had been searched and a quantity of jewellery and cash had been taken.

It is believed the men made off in a black Audi car, which was found abandoned by police in the Loughbrickland area of Co Down later that evening.

Police would like anyone who noticed unusual activity in the area or who has any information to contact them.
