A man armed with a knife entered a shop in the Rathmullan Drive area on Monday at around 5.50pm.

He threatened staff who refused to hand over money and the man left empty-handed.

The man is then reported to have approached two young people passing by in the street and demanded their mobile phones.

They refused and the man then made off on foot.

He was arrested a short time later and taken into custody. He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Anyone with any information on the incident is asked to contact PSNI.
