He has been taken to Antrim Serious Crime suite for questioning.

Ten shots from the military grade weapon hit two police cars which were towing digital signs through a residential area at the Ardoyne interface at around 7.10pm on Thursday 5 December.

No police officers or members of the public were harmed.

Dissident republicans have been blamed for the murder bid.
