A man has been arrested following proactive police searches in west Belfast.

The 33-year-old was detained in the lower Falls area on Friday as part of the PSNI's 'Operation Echnius'.

A sum of money and suspected drugs were also seized.

The man is currently assisting the police with their inquiries.
