Armed robbery in east Belfast

Two men have carried out an armed robbery in east Belfast.

It happened at commercial premises in the Ravenhill Road area on Monday at about 9.10pm.

One of the men was armed with a suspected knife, the other had a hammer.

The pair made off with a sum of cash.

No-one was injured in the incident.

The first man is described as being in his early 20s, about 5ft 8in tall and of slim build.

He was wearing a dark Parka style jacket with fur lined hood, a fur lined Russian style hat, dark blue jeans and white trainers.

The second man is described as being aged in his early 20s, approximately 5ft 8in or 5ft 9in tall and of slim build.

He was wearing a dark blue and light blue two-tone jacket, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
