A man carrying a knife demanded cash from one staff member at the Tates Avenue premises shortly before 9pm on Thursday.

The robber, who has been described as 5'7" to 5'9" tall and of thin build, made off with cash and cigarettes.

The staff members were not injured during the robbery, but a PSNI spokesperson said they had been left badly shaken.

Police appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
