Police have made a fresh appeal for information about the crash, which happened on the Sydenham bypass on-slip at Middlepath Street shortly after 3pm.

The on-slip was closed to traffic for a period and caused long delays during the evening rush hour.

Investigating officers want to speak with the driver of a white Mini, believed to have been in the area at the time.

Police are also keen to speak with anyone who may have witnessed this incident.
