The victim heard banging at the door of his Carnany Drive home on Tuesday at 8.30pm and the three man gang forced their way into the property, before attacking him.

The man received hospital treatment for injuries to his head and body.

A police spokesperson said that a motive for the attack has yet to be established and all lines of enquiry will be investigated.

However, they are currently treating the incident as a paramilitary style beating.

The first attacker is described as being around 5ft 11in in height, of slim build and in his early 20s. He was wearing a yellow hoodie and light blue jeans.

The second male is described as 6ft tall, of slim build and was wearing a green top and jeans.

The third male is also said to be 6ft tall, of medium to stocky build and was wearing a black top or coat with zip front and blue jeans.

Investigating officers would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the attack or who has any information.
