Police are appealing for information in connection with a reported thief who stole cigarettes from a convenience store in south Belfast.

The incident happened on Friday evening shortly before 6.15pm when two men are understood to have entered a shop in the Bradbury Place area.

It is believed one of them approached a counter and took a quantity of cigarettes.

Both men are believed to have headed off towards the Sandy Row area.

No one was injured during the incident.

Anyone with any information about this is asked to contact CID in Musgrave Police Station.
