The assault happened between 8.30pm on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday in the Windermere area.

The woman is reported to have been attacked by a young male, approximately 17-18 years old.

It is understood a second male was involved, and police are investigating the possibility that there were others involved.

The first suspect is described as tall, with spiky brown hair with blonde running through it and was wearing black clothing and gloves. The second suspect was also wearing black clothing.

Detectives are particularly keen to hear from anyone who noticed males matching these descriptions in the Windermere area at the time of the assault or who has any information to contact them.

They also want to anyone who may have been in this area between the specified times to also contact them as they may have information which would help with their enquiries.
