'Ammunition' found in torched car

A quantity of suspected ammunition has been discovered in a torched car in north Belfast.

Police and the NI Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene of a silver Renault Scenic on fire at Glenbank Drive, just off the Crumlin Road, on Thursday morning.

The PSNI are treating the incident as arson.

In follow-up investigations at the scene, the suspected ammunition was found.

Army bomb experts were sent to the scene and took the items away for further forensic examination.
