TUV leader Jim Allister has launched a new document in which he slams the current Stormont administration.

In the 'Towards Good Government' paper, devolution is branded as "hopelessly dysfunctional" and "irredeemably flawed."

Mr Allister also argues that mandatory coalition is an "unworkable" system of government.

The TUV leader also warned that policing and justice should not be devolved while Sinn Fein are in government.

He said: "I fear that the political compunction of placating IRA/Sinn Fein on their key republican demand over policing and justice will cause a short selling on the issue of finance.

"Then we will all reap the consequences down the road. We're facing into deep cuts across every sector and when those cuts bite it will be jobs, health, education which are sacrificed in order to meet the essentials of law and order."

The launch coincided with the First and Deputy First Minister's meeting with the Prime Minister in London on Wednesday.
