Pipe bomb found during Belfast alert

A pipe bomb has been found in the back garden of a house in north Belfast.

A suspicious object was found at the Northwick Drive house on Friday afternoon. A number of residents were advised to leave their homes or stay at the back of the properties during the alert.
A police spokesperson said the device was made safe by army bomb experts.
It has been taken away for further examination and all roads have been reopened.
