A suspicious object was discovered in the Salisbury Avenue area on Monday morning.

Army bomb squad officers were tasked to the scene and examined the object, which has now been declared a hoax.

The road which was closed to traffic between the Antrim Road and Evelyn Gardens has now been reopened and people who were evacuated nearby have been allowed to return to their homes.
