The SHS Group made an operating profit of £25m and increased turnover by £60m.
It owns a number of well-known brands including Bottlegreen and Shloer, and is based on Airport Road West in Belfast where it employs 125 people.
Managing Director Michael Howard said that, with the downturn putting a squeeze on margins, 2012 is set to be a tough year for the company.
He warned: "2012 has certainly been much more challenging for SHS.
"We are seemingly facing a perfect storm where on the one hand, we are getting [told that] consumer confidence is very low [and] we are getting food inflation coming through."
The SHS Group was set up in 1975 and employs a total staff of 700.
