A top choreographer has come to Northern Ireland to ask local dance enthusiasts to be part of a world record attempt.
Tim Noble has worked with many international choreographers and recording artists such as Sophie Ellis Bexter, All Saints, Girls Aloud, Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue.
"I've danced all my life. I was a ballet dancer as a child, I've played lead roles on the West End Theatre and I had the lucky role of being Kylie Minogue's partner and dance captain for five years and travelled the world with her," he told UTV.
Noble has now arrived in Belfast to share his love of dance, and is inviting local dancers to take part in a 'dance master class' that will raise money for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children.
Similar events will be held all over the UK, culminating on July 31 when Tim hopes to break the world record for the largest dance workshop ever, with 80,000 people stepping out together.
"It's for dance enthusiasts from the age of eight upwards. At the moment we have all these shows on TV, and we want to get the whole country dancing," he said.
"Instead of sitting at home watching young dancers on television performing and competing, we are travelling around the country, inspiring and motivating people to get off their couches, get into the sports halls, get dancing, get fit, and have some fun."
Tim Noble's two-hour 'dance master class' will take place on February 6 and February 20 at Queens Sport, PEC in Belfast. Tickets are £20.
