Former X Factor contestant Lucie Jones has been signed to Select Model Management.
The Welsh 18-year-old made it to the finals of the show but was voted off in week five.
She received an early Christmas present when she discovered it was not just her singing voice that had impressed.
Her beauty caught the eye of talent scouts who watched her on screen with a view to signing her to their New Faces division.
After she left the competition they invited Jones to a meeting.
Chrissie Castagnetti, co-founder of Select, said: "We pride ourselves on being the best at identifying new faces and when we first saw Lucie we recognised that she had a great look.
"As her confidence grew week after week, and her personality came through, we knew that we wanted to work with her.
"We're looking forward to unleashing her great potential."
Jones will do her professional photo shoot in the new year with a view to lining up modelling work, according to Select.
The teenager, whose music career is being managed by Modest! Management, said: "It's been a brilliant year.
"I love fashion, I love beauty and I love singing, so to be able to model alongside my music is the best Christmas present ever.
"I can't wait to get going next year."
The new faces team at Select, which was founded 30 years ago, kick-started the careers of models including Stella Tennant, Agyness Deyn and Paul Sculfor.
