Belfast singer Jade Collins, who was eliminated from the X Factor, has told UTV it just wasn't her time - but she'll be back.

The 17-year-old missed out on a place in this year's live shows after she was knocked out of the competition on Sunday.

But she said it hasn't put her off her dreams of stardom.

"Definitely not," she said, speaking to Carolyn Stewart and Johnny Hero at the U105 Boogie Bus on Tuesday.

"I'll definitely go back. It just wasn't my time, but I'll go back."

Jade reached the Judge's Houses stage of the competition and travelled to Saint Lucia with mentor Tulisa, where she belted out 'It Must Have Been Love' by Roxette.

The Belfast teen said she became good friends with the other girls and found it easy to talk to the "laid back" and "really cool" judge.

"The girls were really lovely friends and Tulisa was too," she continued.

"I thought it was going to be awkward talking to her because she's so famous but I felt so comfortable around her and I thought she was so laid back and really cool.

"The house was just breathtaking it was amazing just a lovely place."

Jade said the support she has received has been overwhelming - and she has promised to put on a show to thank her local fans.

"I feel great - I just love all this support I'm getting even though I didn't go through just everyone's being really lovely," she said.

"I'm just going to take it all as it comes. This is what I want to do all my life."

Jade finished the interview by treating listeners to a performance of Read All About It by Emeli Sandé.

The U105 Boogie Bus is a marathon fundraising effort to help the Northern Ireland Hospice, organised by U105 and supported by Ulster Bus Tours.

A series of shows are coming live from across Northern Ireland this week, including Belfast, Lisburn, Newtonabbey, Antrim and Downpatrick.
