The former Emmerdale star spoke with presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about various aspects of her life, including her criminal father who was associated with the infamous Kray twins and her time as a child working with Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor, who would let her play with her most prized jewels.
But throughout the interview the actress appeared to be quite high strung, and while she was laughing and joking during the chat, she also appeared to be slurring her words and fidgeting quite profusely.
Following her appearance Kensit was trending on micro-blogging site Twitter, with one user commenting: "Poor Patsy kensit on @itvthismorning she's seems very confused...really hard to watch that interview without cringing slightly. #getwellsoon."
Another added: "Poor patsy Kensit. Don't think she's very well."
Many viewers compared the interview to that of Kerry Katona's in 2008, when the reality TV star appeared to be slurring her words, causing Phillip Schofield to ask if she was OK.
During the end of Kensit's interview she told Phillip and Holly about her recent hysterectomy and her experience of menopause as a result.
Talking quite quickly and stumbling on her words, she said: "I'm in full blown menopause, my mouth is dry, there are the sweats and no one talks about it - it's all so Dickensian.
"(It's such) a taboo, like you are not a woman anymore. Do you lose your lust for life because you have lost your womb? I don't know."
The Lethal Weapon 2 star underwent the surgery after doctors discovered non cancerous tumours this summer.
The 45-year-old lost her mum to cancer when she was just 24.
