Will Peter say 'I do'? (© ITV)
With Carla wrapped up in wedding arrangements, the couple have come under strain in their relationship, leading to Peter finding comfort in Tina McIntyre.
Confused about where his heart actually lies, it seems the anticipated nuptials may not go ahead.
"On the run up to the wedding he is felling very apprehensive," explained Chris in behind-the-scenes footage.
"He wants to go through with it, he loves Carla, but there is something in the way and she is called Tina.
"There's a lot of tension between Peter and Carla at the moment and actually she has done nothing wrong. I mean she has done everything (for the wedding) and he has done absolutely nothing.
"It's supposed to be a special time and actually it's getting ruined.
Peter's relationship with Tina took an unexpected turn after he hired her as a nanny for his son Simon.
Feeling the strain from Carla's constant wedding plans, Peter grew dangerously close to Tina.
"The tension between Peter and Tina is starting to get very high now," said Chris. "She's offering him something that Carla can't, or he thinks she is.
He is totally conflicted, he's a completely split man.

"He's just got this thing; he gets himself into these positions and... he daren't be happy.
But come the day of the wedding, viewers will wait to see whether or not he will exchange vows with Carla.
"On the actual day he is very nervous I think and he is very apprehensive," said Chris.
"Tina tries to stop him before he goes to the wedding and she kind of just says all the things that are in Peter's mind but he's not intelligent enough to think them for himself.
"Will Peter go through with the wedding? I think he loves Carla and I think he would like to.
"But I also think only at the moment of the vows will he know in his heart whether he will want to do this or not."
