Jaymi, Josh, JJ and George, who came fourth in the 2012 X Factor competition, will play two nights at the Waterfront Hall on 12 and 13 January.

It comes after a busy year for the boyband, with the release of their first two singles, their debut album and the start of their first UK tour.

Their debut single Carry You reached number six in the UK.

2014 is looking to be another busy year; kicking off with the release of their third single Loving You is Easy which they performed on This Morning on Thursday.

"2013 was a rollercoaster; it's been the best year of our lives", Josh told presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

"We want to get a number one this year," Jaymi added.

JJ, who became a first time father in November, said the tour was "absolutely amazing".

The boys joked the baby boy, who is called Princeton, has become the fifth member of the band.

Originally a three-piece group, George was added to Union J by the X Factor judges following the Bootcamp stage of the programme.

The 20-year-old, who is suffering from tonsillitis, had lost his voice ahead of his New Year interview on the This Morning sofa.
