The singer is charged with helping an undercover reporter from The Sun on Sunday newspaper obtain 13.9g of cocaine worth £860.

It is alleged Contostavlos, 25, told reporter Mazher Mahmood - dubbed the "fake sheikh" - that she could arrange for him to buy the drug, between 20-24 May last year.

She denies the charge, but she has not entered a formal plea in court.

At Southwark Crown Court on Tuesday, the singer spoke only to confirm her name.

She appeared alongside rapper Mike GLC, also known as Michael Coombs, 35, for a plea and case management hearing.

Coombs, who also spoke only to confirm his name, denies a charge of supplying the drug on 23 May last year at the Dorchester Hotel in Central London.

The pair were bailed to return on 25 June when a three-day legal argument hearing will take place.

Judge Alistair McCreath told them: "You are both free to go. If you want to come on any further application you may do so.

"You must come on 25 June when I'll deal with pre-trial matters.

"You may both go on unconditional bail."

Both Contostavlos and Coombs will stand trial on 14 July.
