The veteran singer has been struck down by a bout of bronchitis and has been advised by his doctor to pull out of plans to perform at the BT London Live gig on Saturday and at a show at former royal residence Osborne House on the Isle of Wight on Sunday.
Jones has been inundated with well wishes from fans online and he's grateful for their unwavering support.
In a post on his Twitter blog on Friday, he writes: "Thanks for all the lovely messages, I don't know if everyones (sic) understanding and support is making me feel better or worse! You're the best!"
British pop star Will Young has been drafted in to replace Jones at the BT London Live event.
