In the archive this week, This Morning takes a look back to 2010 to when poor Eamonn Holmes was replaced by a familiar face because he didn't manage to make it to work on time.

On this particular day, Eamonn got caught up in the London traffic on his way to the studio, but luckily for wife, Ruth Langsford, the guests for that day's show were none other than the legendary Richard Madeley and Judy Finnegan.

Ruth quickly asked Richard if he would mind stepping into to his old role while Eamonn rushed to get to work, and he was only too happy to oblige.

But during the opening link its soon became clear that Richard was enjoying himself a little too much as Eamonn came running into the studio, only to be pushed to the side by his predecessor.

"Excuse me, just go away," he politely tells Eamonn. "It's my show!"

Delivering the rather long winded link like a pro, it was as though Richard has never left.
