Since 1934 people from all over Northern Ireland, and beyond, have visited the zoo to say hello to the various animals who live there.
Zoo manager, Mark Challis, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be celebrating our 80th anniversary. The advances made by Belfast Zoological Gardens in the last eight decades are astonishing.
"We appreciate the support and interest our visitors take in Belfast Zoo and it is clear that we would not have made such remarkable progress without this support."
From elephants to monkeys to lemurs, everyone has their favourite animals and this week The Magazine wants viewers to share their zoo memories.
If you have a photo from a visit to Belfast Zoo - old or new - that you want to share, you can upload it to the Belfast Zoo memories gallery.
The Magazine host Sarah Travers will be taking a look through the images this week ahead of the zoo's busy Easter holiday weekend.
Viewers can follow all the action of this week's show by tweeting along with @UTVMag using the hashtag #utvmag.
The Magazine with Sarah Travers on Monday 14 April at 8pm on UTV.
